Special Individualized Programs
The Linguistics Program offers MA and PhD degrees through the
Special Individualized Program (SIP) of
the School
of Graduate Studies. We have expertise in Historical Linguistics
(Indo-European and Oceanic) and Syntax, Semantics and
Phonology from the I-language, biolinguistic perspective. Such a program
may involve only members of
the Linguistics faculty, or else Linguistics faculty and faculty in other
programs such as Psychology, Philosophy or Classics. Charles Reiss (Linguistics) and Roberto de Almeida
(Psychology) are especially interested in students who would like to
design a SIP in Psycholinguistics and
Cognitive
Science.
Please
contact one of us for further information, or contact Darlene Dubiel of the
School of Graduate Studies for general information on SIP.
